My Experience -

I actually discovered the Audrey while looking for a touch screen control for home automation/hvac.  The retail price on systems designed for this purpose were astronomical in comparison to the Audrey so I went the cheap have created a web interface especially for the Audreys.  There are Audreys located in key places around the house for home Automation/ Environmental control.  In addition to home control, they are set to blink when I recieve email from key accounts.  They also play music (stored on server).  When an incoming call comes, I only need to glance at an Audrey screen to see the Caller Id.  The more I play the more things I find that the Audrey can do!!!

Ideas / Applications -

-A rotating picture frame.  The new QNX image has a picture frame application just for this purpose.

-Recipee / radio for the kitchen.

-News browser for the bathroom (doesn't everyone have a 10B-T jack in the bathroom?)

-A hardware hack that lets you put VGA or composite video into the audrey. Imagine watching tech TV on audrey, listening to the audio, click on a button, bring up the web site for fresh gear!
